Air League Flight Scholarship
Jim Dooley from Living Pictures recently attended the Air League Scholarship annual awards at the Royal Aeronautical Association Park Lane, London. Part of the sale proceeds of a Living Picture which featured a Lancaster bomber flying over the white cliffs of Beachy Head was recently auctioned by Bonhams at the Goodwood Revival in September and were subsequently donated to 617 Squadron Association to help fund the Guy Gibson VC Flying Scholarship.
This is a prestigious scholarship and is open to underprivileged ATC/CCF cadets from across the country. £3,600 is used to fund up to 12 hours flight training on a light aircraft up to solo standard for each scholar.
