Spitfire & Hurricane Banking
3D lenticular sepia/colour image

The two mainstay monoplane fighter aircraft used by the RAF during the Battle of Britain are depicted here in this 3D lenticular sepia / colour image. The Spitfire and Hurricane are seen together in an air- to- air setting. The Spitfire had a stressed-skin aluminium structure unlike the Hawker Hurricane which was made of wood and fabric. The Spitfire was more expensive to manufacture. Air Chief Marshall Lord Dowding was head of Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain.
